SEAFOOD CLERK
Company Seafood Clerks create an exceptional customer service experience by ensuring seafood areas are properly stocked, providing assistance to customers to locate items, and preparing seafood to customer specifications.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Cutting, preparing, measuring, packaging, and wrapping seafood to customer specifications.
- Ensure all product date coding is accurate and within parameters.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and all regulations.
- Ensuring sections are rotated 100%.
- Ensuring that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning, and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with company standards.
- Providing assistance to co-workers.
- Unloading of delivery trucks
- Utilizing the ordering system to ensure items are ordered in a timely manner.
- Culling displays to ensure only the fresh and quality product is available.
- Increasing sales by providing information needed to make product-related decisions.
- Minimizing shrinkage through proper handling of products.
- Properly cleaning equipment and tools utilized.
- Stacking, rotating and date coding coolers.
- Transferring stock from coolers and freezers to department shelves.
- Complying with safety and health standards to ensure safe handling of food.
- Identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
- Performing additional duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- This position requires heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 100 pounds with frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching and inspecting work sites.
- Work is performed indoors in a refrigerated climate control setting.
