MEAT WRAPPER

Company Meat Wrappers create an exceptional customer service experience by wrapping meat selections and stocking meat items in the cooler displays while ensuring the meat department is properly maintained.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
  • Properly wrapping, weighing, and pricing products as needed.
  • Stocking various types of meat into the meat cooler displays.
  • Wrapping meats for display.
  • Maintaining a sanitary work area in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Complying with safety and health standards to ensure safe handling of food.
  • Identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
  • Properly cleaning equipment and tools utilized.
  • Minimizing shrinkage through proper handling of products.
  • Stocking and rotating department products to ensure freshness and date control.
  • Providing assistance to co-workers.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and all regulations.
  • Performing additional duties as needed.

  • An ability to work flexible schedules through the day, evening, and weekend shifts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • None

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • This position requires heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 100 pounds with frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching and inspecting work sites.
  • Ability to safely operate heavy and sharp tools/equipment.
