JANITOR

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensuring all areas of the stores are cleaned by collecting trash, cleaning floors, wiping surfaces, etc.
- Maintaining cleaning logs daily, including restroom cleaning logs, store sweeping logs, and refrigerated area logs.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the store and backroom floors by sweeping and mopping.
- Responding to dry and wet spills for cleanup.
- Utilizing proper signage to notify associates and customers of wet floors to eliminate potential accidents.
- Maintaining equipment and tools necessary to properly complete responsibilities while reporting to management any broken or needed equipment items.
- Complying with safety and health standards.
- Identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
- Providing assistance to co-workers.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and all regulations.
- Performing additional duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- This position requires heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 100 pounds with frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching and inspecting work sites.
- Work is performed indoors and outdoors therefore subject to weather and climate conditions.
