DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with a primary emphasis on fast, friendly, and accurate service.
- Reading recipes, preparing, measuring and mixing ingredients for Breads, desserts and cakes.
- Baking foods utilizing various utensils, ovens, grills, stove tops, etc.
- Maintaining a sanitary kitchen area in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Preparing food products to meet customer specifications.
- Stock trucks for the Bakery Department.
- Stack, date code and organize store rooms and coolers.
- Stock shelves within the Bakery Department while ensuring sections are rotated 100% as they are stocked.
- Check date codes , mark down product close to code and remove out of date products on display.
- Complying with safety and health standards to ensure safe handling of food.
- Identifying, correcting, and reporting unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
- Properly cleaning equipment and tools utilized.
- Minimizing shrinkage through proper handling of products.
- Providing assistance to co-workers.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures and all regulations.
- Performing additional duties as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
- Experience as a baker in a retail environment.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- This position requires lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds with frequent walking and standing. The position frequently kneels, stoops, reaches, pushes, pulls, and carries medium to heavy items.
- Ability to safely operate heavy and sharp tools/equipment.
- Work is performed indoors in a refrigerated climate control setting.
